Shank, Shank, Shank it up, Baby

I loved Mark of the Ninja. So I just realized that I bought Shank from Klei Entertainment for low. Let me have a look. And thanks to ShadowPlay of Nvidia I can even make a video now. Lol.

It is brutal. A loot of blood. Some kind of cuba feeling. I love the drawing style. It is like a prototype for things to come like Mark of the Ninja.

Will play it more some time and then report in detail.

Ladies Night. What ? No. Ladies Games ? No. Games with femal heroes ! Now I got it.

Humble Bundle has thrown out a bundle with only female heroes. Heroines ? Who cares. (how it is written)

It's called "Leading Ladies". In consideration to the whole cold-computer-games-women-war  I have to smile a bit by this title, but hey.

I like female computer game heroes. OK. I admit. In 99.9% of the case when I had the choice I took a male. Yes. Sad. Somehow. But to my defence, I always had one or two female characters in my RPG parties. Btw. Why didn't were tampons part of RPG games ? (cotton tampons +4)

Ok. Let me have a look at these games.

1. Lilly Looking Through
2. Valdis Story: Abyssal City
3. Ms. Splosion Man
4.The Yawhg
5. Long Live The Queen
6. The Cat Lady
7.Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten

And of course as always at the end : the conclusion.

So cute .... what ? The "So cute" Humble Flash Bundle

Yes. I know. I am a Humble Bundle Slave Bitch. But then again.

The Bundle I got now has the the all-saying name "So Cute" and is a freaking collection of senseless cuteness. They claim. Let us have an open mind look at that cute promise, shall we, my dear ?

1. Girls like Robots
2. Where is my Heart
3. Woodle Tree Adventures
4. Two Tribes
5. Triple Town

To finish with the R.P.S. Bundle ...

So let me treat the not yet talked about games of the Rock, Shotgun, Paper Humble Bundle...with the final conclusion, of course.

6. AI War: Fleet Command
7. Teleglitch: Die More Edition

I wanted to go out. But since I am fucked up again I am gonna test this Rock,Paper & Shotgun Weekly Humble Bundle

The guys from R.P.S. are the reason I am...not let me rephrase that before I go to far...they inspired me....no...not better....they ignited my interesst in the game sector after years of more or less abstinence.Their way of...short : They were my heroes for a short time, then they were my most loved crititcs, now they have strange advertisment that leads to even stranger pages. But hell, we all need money. And they still have the decency left I loved about them quite a while ago.

So much for that. To the games.

1. Dungeons of Dredmor
2. Audiosurf
3. Armageddon Empires
4. World of Goo
5. Amnesia - The dark descent

Pseudo Old School Sell Out on Humble Bundelö [ AKA MODERN RETRO...how lame wtf ]

Our beloved software industry destroying Humble Bundle has spit out a bundle of six "nostalgic" oldschool designed indie titles. Perfect. I am so frustrated by Wargame European Escalation and I can not concentrate on BF4 or the never ending infinite BioShock (I really know now why it is called BioShock Infinite). So. Let me have a look.

Seven Years ago : Eidos Interactive took on Midway

So while I dream of my new computer, I was curious about this title in a humble bundle.

Battlestations Midway. So let us have a look.

[few minutes later]

Yes. I played through the first two missions.

Unimaginative graphics. Lame controlls. Awful voice acting. Boring tasks. Strange lighting.

The boat level was actually something perhaps play worth. The air combat NOT.

Humble Bundle 2k - yes we are stupid and we do not need to enhance our infrastructure.

Humble Bundle. They are sympathetic. But they are not smarter than Steam.

They do a 2k humble bundle, where even I got my wallet out and payed at ONCE. Normally I wait a few days and research the games and ponder about it.

But, the complete Bioshock series, The Bureau XCOM Classified, Spec Ops TheThin Line and a few more. So wtf. Even if you only trade them, you win. ( Somebody told me today you can actually trade Steam Games !!! )

And then - their email server (one?) breaks down. WHAT a surprise.

Short Interlude : Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians - Indie Arcade Jump'n'Run

FIRST IMPRESSION

While I still **** my brains out with Terraria, btw. really awesome game if you're into that kind of thing, but, I thought, a coffee morning interlude with Beatbuddy couldn't harm the diversity.

I bought Beatbuddy sometime ago in a Humble Bundle for .... not much. More precisely the Humble Bundle German Edition for 11 €. Now I see Beatbundle alone is, uh, 8.99 € on Steam. OK. All praise to Humble Bundle. Well. Money saved ?! Hurray.

Beatbuddy is made with Unity. Since I am still convinced to use Unity for my Owl Game I am a bit more motivated to look at this game.  How do I know ? Apart from Intel and two other splash screens it shows the Unity splash. And it was a winner of the German Developer Award 2013.

TODO: What exactly is the German Developer Award ?

Hmm.The music in the white start menu sounds like something I can make in a tracker in a few hours. (But when I entered the game, I realized that this choice of music for the main menu actually makes total sense !)

Ah, I love the smell of new Software in the morning. So let's press PLAY.

Twitching humble bees and stylish cowboys

Today there was the first Humble Bundle Live Stream on Twitch. Some of the employees of the sympathetic media product selling company with a charity flair were sitting in front of a camera and played a really good looking western arcade action game, called Secret Ponchos.

Even one of the main devs was there giving some answers. I write about cause the game reaalllly looks good (in my taste at least) especially for an indie that is (since Sony is behind is WAS ?)! And cause the Humble Bundle Show was ... interesting.

Well some facts : The game developing crew is working in their cellars and decentralized, they are using Sony's House Engine PhyreEngine, their Lead Artist worked for Batman the Animated Movie, they have 3 full time artists and some freelancing, they nearly got bankrupt before Sony spotted them on this big games convention in 2013, they working on that jewel since 4 1/2 YEARS !!!

I can not say anything specific about the Humble Bundle work force. They seem to have decent offices !
