The Darkness II - Second, still interessted but calmed run

[ The Darkness II - Second Run - 6 hours now ]

So I continued to play quite a lot of this comic-style-horror game. And I like it.

I mostly like the story telling and the cell-shading. The textures are so cool, too.

The fighting is, well, you know the drill against AI opponents, it is always boring after the first or second encounter with a new enemy type.

There are end-bosses ! I like that. I like the dry humor of the creepy little companion you have with you.

I was stucked a few times at certain places, drove me mad, one time I had to lower the difficulty what feels like your genitals are cut off and then badly stiched back on when you raise it again.

IWUTE Test (I woke up too early test) - The Darkness II

The screenshots look promising. "The Darkness II". Never heard of it. Can not remember where I bought it. Probably in the 2k Humble Bundle.

Some horror FPS. Well. I should not blow brainz out before breakfast and coffee, but ah what the hell.

[ AFTER THE FIRST RUN ]
If you know nothing about it - PLAY IT WITHOUT READING THE REVIEW OF THIS GAME BELOW, PLEASE.

(btw, dont miss the "what happend in darkness 1" monolog ingame by this guy in the picture, its hillarious)

Since I want to clean my steam library, I will test Risen from Deep Silver

So, I call it "Test-A-Quick". Since nearly everyone in the Steam comment section played it approx. 40 hours, I think I can say it is a typical gamer-brand consum article. Lolz.

Since I saw today the new Saints Row Trailer, I think having a look at this game from 2009 is quite interesting.

Interlude : Dead Space 2 - They do BF Hardline these days, WTF

Visceral (thats the right spelling ?!) !!!

When I heard they do Battlefield Hardline, I thought well they must be hell of a company when Dice is giving them their job more or less. So I got Dead Space. I was torn apart by the game. On the one hand it was like a Alien movie gone wrong in all the right ways but at the same time it was like "No, do not do it like that please".

Due to the limitations of the computer hardware at the time DS1 came out, it was small, somewhat linear-creepy and full of stupid localized riddles. And the feeling you play it on a console somehow never left you alone.

But I played it half through I think. I even watched the comic move half that they brought out when the game was a big success. So when there was a sale I bought Dead Space 2. And that is what I will get myself into now.

[DEAD IN SPACE...STAY TUNED]

Bioshock Infinite - It is like eating candy that has razor blades in it that are not hurting just scratching.

STILL PLAYING, TWO RUNS UNTIL NOW

I bought BioShock Infinite in a Humble Bundle not so long ago.

Since then it was laying there like a luxury article bought for a party that was canceled.

So let us, or well me, a look at that. I hesitated because BioShock 2 still invokes memories so full of intensity and clarity that I am nearly sure that Infinite will disappoint me.

On the other hand, now that I now that all three parts are done with the Unreal Engine, nothing can disappoint me.

I wanna be a powerful trade company when I grow up, Mother.

BUGS, UGLY DESIGNS. NO CLUE ABOUT THE GAMPLAY AND I DONT CARE
TRASHY
FRUSTRATING

So. Humble Bundle offered 90% discount on Paradox Interactive. Well fought, Humble Pack.

I bought several of the strategy games. I tested the newer ones like "Europa Universalis IV" and they were too ahm, painful detail full, but impressive accurate, so I thought, yeah well : Let us test the older ones.

So the first in this new series is "East India Company" and its DLC's. It has a low score on meta critics and it is not obviously not from the people who did Europa Universalis IV or Crusaders & Kings III, but as I said, let us (oh lord) test the older ones with an open mind. Yea ha.

*disgusted sound*. First, if you select the first tutorial, the text says that you have chosen the second tutorial. Same with the second tutorial. That alone is enough for me to delete a game AT ONCE.

Well. The menus look UGLY. Just plain UGLY. It is mandatory for a game where menus are important that they look good. How did that happen ?

Well, since I do not get these games for free, I can push them in the dirt when they are not worth my money. So lets go on.

No. I will not go on. The voice in the tutorials is so quiet that you cant hear it cause the wave sound is too loud. And the speaker speaks as if he had an stroke.

Thank you. But that's enough. *delete local content*

Halo : Spartan Assault ... Microsoft...OK. But what is it ?

SPARTANIC MOBILE-APP ACTION ISOMETRIC TRASH
TRASHY
FRUSTRATING

2013 ??? Hello ???
I love that moment when you press PLAY in Steam for a game you got somewhere and then totally and absolutely forgot what it is.

Well. There is some sci-fi style short intro. Lets have a look.

This is a strange 3D Isometric From Above game with no zoom in and no rotation. You play somekind of SciFi Soldier and fight against enemies who look like bananas.

Build-In Irony
The graphic looks like 2005 ?, but I think this game is actually from 2013 ?. The maps are incredibly linear and small. You only have a very small amount of ammunition for your weapons. And the sniper rifle I upgraded to only hits 1 in 3.

Well I am braindead right now, so it's perfect. But Microsoft ? WTF is this ?

Besides one thing that is really ugly is the neon-blue borders around everything. Why people still use these colors in menus ?

Something cool is that you can actually board the enemy ships and drive around with them and kill the then ridicolous easy enemies. And this does not require any skills at all. Hmm. I am really confused from this game.

Fun Fact : You can not access the settings while ingame in a mission. That is new.

So I was playing along cause I am still not sure that this wasnt the real game. There is this "simulator" you are playing, so I am confused. Is this perhaps even a mobile game ported
to PC ? Well nevertheless. It is boring, stupid, badly designed and has nothing at all what would
keep me playing.

Vanished Post or How I started to enjoy Saints Row IV.

GET LOST FOR A BIT IN THIS "SIMULATION" IF THERE IS NOTHING ELSE

Dude. This game is still over 20 bugs everywhere.

I can not remember where, but I bought it for 5 bugs *somewhere*.

Well. I even did a small post here (I Could swear) and said how disappointed I was.

But I played it again. And I must say. It more fun than expected. It helps to be stoned I guess,
but that's no option for me. So. Here's my stone-cold sober report of a game obviously made
for stoned GTA fans who also like space-invader parodies and a very funny implementation of a suppressive regime propaganda.

Wild Wild West - Or how one thing lead to another and now I am trying WWW Shooters ?!

CURRENT RATING
FUNNY

Steam Sale. Nevertheless the steam sale game is a pure brilliant *cliche on* women money on shoes *cliche off*.
unimaginative rip off, I enjoy spending little money on games like

And since the twitch stream of humble bundle yesterday involved a WWW game, I thought ey, I never actually played a WWW FPS !!

And the advantage of a FPS, it can be played with Keyboard/Mouse.

So I bought Call of Juarez Gunslinger.

Despite the name and the fact that I know NOTHING about this game OR the developers, I was curious. Good ol'Ubisoft as publisher and an Engine I never heard of plus a wild wild west setting. OK. Well, first thing was the game needed only 3.8 gb. 3.8gb for a full flechted FPS ? OK ?!?!

Well I write this here being untouched about this game, so lets go. *reloads his colt*
