Awesome. Awesomenauts. Some Nauts ?

Awesomenauts ? Don't blame me ! Blame the way we get bombarded with sales here and there. This one lurked in my Steam library and I saw it featured on one of my fav. indie platformer websites. So. Well. Let me install another version of Windows C++ Runnable and let me peal the skin off this game.

Quick-And-Go : God'em'up....why not. Example : Reus

I can hardly resist these 1,99 Steam mini sales when the game looks at least promising.

So in this case. Reus. Later, I learned that this is a God'em'up. Why ? Cause you control four (so far) gods and manipulate a planet so that life and little villages can prosper.

I played it for an hour or so. It is quite fun, when you like combination effects of flower's and animals and minerals. The graphics are ok and left enough space for fantasy. The music is smoothing and changes often enough so it is actually a help while you move one of your gods from one end of the planet to the other.

There is no time acceleration possibility. That is at least at the mid start of the game a bit annoying.

What really troubled me is that when you open the ingame browser wiki page on steam, there was only an advertisement for e-cigarettes. Lol.

Obscure Midnight Test - OMT - Today : Secrets of Rætikon

So. I bought it...sometimes...I do not remember.

The colorful name is "Secrets of Rætikon". Well. When an a and e melt, it is definitely a secret worth looking after ! But fun aside. It opens a DOS console to open the game, even for a steam game this is weird.

It is an indie game, made by Broken Rules. Nice name. I am not sure I want my software developer to be called this way, but nevertheless, nice name !

That game is actually very nice. It is in artistic 2D. You control a phoenix like bird in an abstract 2D world. It is all well, nice physic and stuff. BUT you have to collect shiny triangles, and there are winds, and I just can not get to the last one in the sky I need to fill something like a triangle container. I tried like 20 minutes now. Nope. I give up. That is bad game design. You can not make the first level like not manageable in my opinion. I tried really everything imo.

I like the name - but thats about it, sry. - Indie Mesh'N'Run Game "Windforge"

IT IS INDIE, BUT IT IS UGLY AND FEELS WRONG
TRASHY

Since Terraria I like games, well, I call the genre Mix'N'Run, or sometimes Mesh'N'Run. Why ?

Cause they are a mixture of RPG, Ultima Online Crafting, Minecraft, Classic 2D-Jump'n'Run and most of the time a genre like Cyberpunk, Steampunk or Phantasy.

Since Terraria ****** my brain, I was instantly interested in Windforge.

Well. Its DRM free, that's good and I got it cheap in a Humble Bundle Sale.

But. No. Thank you. Windforge has no consistent style, it is full of bugs, it plays inorganic and looks ugly. The only reason I discuss it here : It is a (very funny but sad) style of it's own. And it should remind every developer out there HOW NOT TO DO IT *fgs*. Oh Yeah.

And since you can't make screenshots using PRNT, I can not show you the graphical reason for my opinion so far.
